String instruments

String instruments accent this West Portal capture. If SF were a string instrument, then Market St would be the string bed. All the bus cables to strum and underground subway tunnels to amplify the sound. We would be on the fretboard here in the west half of the city.

Concerned lion

I often see faces in the reflections ; ) Anybody else see a face in the textured blue brick? I see a lion, looking down on the street with an expression of surprise and concern.

New species

What is this strange new species? It appears to be some kind of plantimal. Is that an arm dangling over the SUV? a tail? a root?

I've heard that locals will train them to move cars out of parking spots. Look, its about to drag that thing away!

This part of Golden Gate park is home to an outdoor music concourse, and features a number of popular attractions such as the De Young museum, the Japanese tea garden, and the California Acadamy of Sciences.

Skeleton band

Where I eat in San Francisco - Pancho's Salsa Bar & Grill

     Pancho's is a beautifully decorated taqueria on Polk street. Tasty food, and I like their options. Along with the usuals, they feature grilled veggies, grilled fish, and a steak and shrimp combination.

     My favorite dish? I like the grilled mahi-mahi burrito. Yummy!

     And they have this helpful street sign : ) The decorations are colorful and fun!

Spending a day in San Francisco, time seems to fly right by. In this reflection, however, time seems to stand still.

Transparent cable car

Taking a ride on an historic cable car is a must-do for anybody visiting the city, though they are rarely convenient for day-to-day travel. Imagine how much fun it would be to ride in a transparent cable car, like the one in this reflection!

Hummingbird

There is a gigantic hummingbird prowling the streets in this Nob Hill reflection. Watch out traffic, I would give this guy the right of way!

San Francisco's downtown Market Street is the major hub for public transportation in the city. There are bus lines and historic streetcars that run on street level, as well as an historic cable car turnaround at the Powell Station.

Underneath Market Street, there are two levels of subway lines.

• The upper level features muni metro train lines (Muni metro light rail) that zip quickly through the downtown and nearby regions, then emerge above ground as they fork in multiple directions to the western and peripheral neighborhoods. (This picture is from within one of these trains, and features the routes)
• The lower level features the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) trains, that are generally used for convenient travel into or from outside of the city. This is an good way to get to or from either of our nearby major airports (Oakland or South San Francisco).

It appears as though that Muni bus will have a difficult time getting around the roadblocks ahead, in this Haight Street reflection.
