Dog days

    Many of you are experiencing the dog days of winter, though you'd never know it from our mild SF weather. Don't just look out the window though, bundle up warm and enjoy the snow!

La Porziuncola Nuova

Or as I like to call it, "the uncola" (Sorry 7-up!). Connected to The National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi, the smaller chapel is a replica of the Porziuncola which is located in Assisi, Italy! 

Race you off the lion

Sitting at the stop light with revved engines roaring. It looks like these two are planning to race! I'd rather slow down and enjoy the trip. : D Why rush through life?

This cafe sign had blown over, affording me a special view of downtown : ) I got my shot, and set it back up right, hoping that some more people will notice this delicious looking lunch special on Market St. It's difficult to find a bargain lunch in this high rent district!

A cafe was spotted underneath the Palace of Fine Arts! This window reflection peers into what used to be the Exploratorium, which has since moved to a new location in the Embarcadero.

The Transamerica Pyramid is the tallest building around, and so it ends up in the background in many of my chinatown shots. Sometimes, its gotta take center stage : )

This giant lad has turned SF into a driving range. Go ahead, set a ball onto the hydrant and tee off. Fore!

A gorgeous blue sun casts its glow over the tenderloin. As I moved towards the window to capture the shot I was offered some marijuana. I declined, and as I pulled my phone out to take the shot, I noticed the time. "Haha, it's 4:20!" He was not amused. I got my shot and shuffled off.

Beautiful shot of the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi. The main entrance is gorgeous too, if you don't want to slip in through the side entrance in this reflection.

Nice reflection on Geary! Geary is always busy with a wonderful 38 bus & a nice drive from downtown to the beach.

San Francisco's Golden Gate Park is truly a gem in the west half of our city. Three miles long and 1/2 mile wide, full of forest, recreation, parkland, and a few popular attractions too. Here you see the De Young museum in the background.
